Angry Bob
Bob was angry. He didn't know what he was angry about, he woke up and there was anger. Life so far wasn't that bad, his job was simple but paid well. He had friends who were kind and funny. He was a smoker and drinker, but did neither in excess. He was single but never felt particularly lonely. While he would never say that he was a completely happy man he never had much to complain about.

Now he was indignant. He couldn't tell if it was directed inwards or outwards. If someone had made him angry or if he had done it himself. Nothing in his immediate recollection seemed to allow for either possibility.

He punched a wall. He screamed "Things were going so well!" but was unsure if he had said it out loud. His hand hurt after that.

Whatever the cause of the anger it wasn't hard to figure out what increased it. Everything. The news reports on the current celebrity scandal, foreign policy and legal goofs all increased it. The people on the subway with their stupid hair and stupid clothes and people listening to their stupid ipods too stupidly loud. The stupid subway itself for being just generally stupid as well as late.

An unfortunate event occurred to Bob when he got to work. Someone new called him Steve, confusing him with someone else in the office who looked nothing like him. This seemed to Bob a very stupid mistake. He informed her of his opinion. Bob was then reprimanded by a very stupid boss, which made Bob that much angrier.

On his way home Bob then realized that whatever was the original cause of his anger, it had to be in nature a very stupid thing.
